Goldie Hatches A Brood...The beginning!

I am currently taking "One More" class for Children's Book Illustration - making a dummy, and am working on a story called "Goldie Hatches A Brood!"  How can she do this with no rooster?  I cannot divulge too much information, but I will be sharing artwork as it "grows."
