Lots left to unpack and rehome...but decided it would be good to make a few sketches now even if they had to be done on piles of rubble and in the midst of upheaval.  Creativity ought to be possible anywhere.  Don't tell Pete I used his coffee cup.

What a great night meeting other authors, artists, and readers!

Judging for the Reflections Art Show at Woodinville Library

Judging artwork from three local schools.  We even judged original compositions of music, film and literature.  It is inspirational to see the "Let Your Imagination Fly" theme in all these forms.

What a great thing, to be able to have visited family this month...saw lots of sights I want to paint!

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth..." inspires this Art Lab lesson I will be doing with the Carnation Christian Preschool next week.

Camp Towhee's Humble Beginnings

As a member of a family who has been in the camp business for decades, I was honored to design this sign for Camp Towhee, located just 15 minutes south of the Canadian boarder.  My husband helped start this camp, as he is Site Manager of the Camp River Ranch (both belonging to Girl Scouts) and even put up the sign himself.

It was very good to meet other illustrators and see some familiar faces at the Open House.  We drew with the visiting children, and enjoyed an informal time with each other.
